ONCE UPON A TIME...

The adventure and its beginning
Being convinced that the North produces adapted and nutritious meals and beverages, the idea behindNordic-T has gently flowed in my mind.
Already my interest in native plants was growing every day, and my backyard was full of local plants bought or saved from the shovels.
Touching them, watching them, making them live, became a passion, then, as a landscape architect, I am advancing, by challenge and interest, in a very special world: food.
With specific goals: Eat local, respect nature, find anti-oxidants and vitamins from here without resorting to exotic resources.
One of the major concerns in making Nordic-T has been to use the plants in controlled harvesting from sturdy plants that can be cultivated in a spirit of permaculture (culture closest to nature) and sustainability in order to avoid weakening the natural environment by intensive harvesting whose outcome could be extermination. It was also necessary to find low-demanding plants that do not need added fertilizer and are not sensitive to diseases and insects. This is the case of plants commonly known as "weeds". The plants that are the basis of Nordic-T are actually listed as "harmful" by major industrial crops!
In addition to these environmental aspects, there was also the challenge of offering products that come off the beaten track, which must also interfere in the jungle of fast food, fashion and major brands.
Advancing against the current is a risk.
Yet there are customers for companies that are truly committed to their health.
Instead of offering an energy or alcoholic drink, with Nordic-T we offer you a caffeine-free or tea-free beverage and significantly less sweet than other exotic frozen teas.
More than 600 glasses tasted and greatly appreciated during our market research phase convinced us that this "iced tea of the North" had to exist!
We thank all those wonderful fine palates (which include my teenage son and my daughter's chums) who, however, were used to a sweeter and lemon-iced tea.

VÉRONIQUE LENS
As a landscape architect by training, I have always been passionate about all plants and their culture.
As I am often told, I have "a green thumb". In recent years, seeing all issues related to climate change, I have been interested in working with indigenous and local plants.
My walks in the forest or along the streams allowed me to rediscover forgotten treasures that I then reintroduced not only in my very big court but also and especially in my daily diet and in my "healthy snacks" or, as here, in Nordic-T.
